Meet the Author and Irish Guide Dog

Meet the Author and Irish Guide Dog

Thank you to Coláiste Bhríde for inviting us to join them in meeting author Helena Duggan. We were delighted to meet her again and look forward to reading her next book series “The Light Thieves”. We even got her to sign a book and picture!

It was great to learn so much about the Irish Guide Dogs and the huge training programme that they go through. They really are remarkable and well done to Colásite Bhríde on raising funds and awareness for this programme. Well done Paddy and we hope you enjoy your retirement.

Leap Year Celebrations 2024

Leap Year Celebrations 2024

We planned a great day for the kids to celebrate Leap Year 2024. We wanted it to be a day to be remembered as all the pupils in the Senior Room will have moved on when the next leap year comes. We wrote a letter to our future selves which will go into a time capsule that we will bury, we went for a visit to the playground and we watched a movie with our favourite teddies and treats. The older pupils have promised to return on 29th February 2028 to dig up our time capsule and have a reunion.

Children’s Mental Health Week 2024

Children’s Mental Health Week 2024

We all enjoyed some fun, stress free activities this week to raise awareness of the importance of taking care of our mental health. By prioritizing children’s mental health, we create a supportive environment for them to thrive and reach their full potential. Just take a look at how engaged and motivated the pupils were learning chess, making stop motion videos, creating with Lego and planting some vegetables. We can’t wait to see our Hyacinth Flowers grow and the roots they will have! Children’s mental health is a vital aspect of their overall well-being
