We hope everyone enjoys the holiday season. We are looking forward to welcoming our pupils back to school when we re-open at 9am on Thursday 6th January, 2022.

Many thanks to all involved in designing, creating and publishing the video messages below. Please click on the links below to view our Christmas messages. We wish to thank Mrs. Maher for her work through the Music Generation programme. The pupils thoroughly enjoy their vocal and instrumental lessons with Mrs. Maher each week.

There was great excitement when we received a live video call from the North Pole! Thank you Santa for the lovely gifts. A huge well done to all of our pupils on their amazing work this term. Enjoy the holidays.

Christmas Baking

The Senior Room had great fun decorating some yummy treats, Christmas style. They look too good to eat. Thank you to Wexford Education Centre for providing this free online class for schools.

Christmas Jumper Day

Thank you to all the boys and girls today, 10th December, who wore festive clothing and Christmas jumpers to raise money for The Children’s Health Foundation.

Christmas Santa

The children in the Senior Room drew Santas using a free flow style with black crayon/oil pastel and painted their jolly Santas using acrylic paint. They turned our fantastic. Ho ho ho!

Science Week Fun

Science Week Fun

Wow! What a week of science we have had, from building bridges, creating an electrical circuit, making an apple clock, blowing big bubbles, exploding coke, lava lamps, crystals and much much more.
We took part in a zoom with Kerry Science Festival. Below are some of the amazing things we learned:

Lodestone is a natural magnet that was discovered by accident 9,000 years ago.
The earth is a big magnet.
Sea Turtles and the Bogong Moth use the earths magnetic field to travel.
The fastest train travels at 600km per hour and is supported by a magnetic field.
The highest jump on a trampoline is 6.7metres.
Science is Everything!!

Best Wishes Cathy

We extended our best wishes to our secretary Cathy, who finished working in All Saints’ National School last week. She has been a wonderful secretary and colleague. We are very grateful for all she has done for our school and we are going to miss her. On behalf of the entire school community we wish Cathy every success and happiness for the future.

Visitors

Visitors

There was great excitement on our return to school as we discovered a nest containing some baby swallows. The boys and girls have given the baby swallows names and we are enjoying watching them grow. Did you know the Irish for swallow is fáinleog? Swallows build their nests from mud. They migrate to warmer places such as Africa during the winter months. Their forked tails make them easy to identify.
