Today, on a bright, beautiful spring day, we said goodbye to Archdeacon Ruth with a school assembly. The children wrote a thank you poem from the junior room that really showed our appreciation for everything Ruth has done for us over the past 10 years. The senior room wrote prayers and a goodbye poem that would bring a tear to your eye.

We sang songs and enjoyed a little dance! We will miss Archdeacon Ruth’s entertaining and enjoyable assemblies. We thank her for all of her guidance, support and friendship over the years and we look forward to visiting her for a picnic on her new front lawn. We wish her every success and best wishes on the start of her new journey.

The kids really enjoyed their pancakes to celebrate Shrove Tuesday. Thanks to everyone for helping make it a Delicious Day!

The children have been learning how to look after their mental this week in school. We have read books, listened to music, done mindful meditation, drew pictures and to finish off our week we went to the playground in Carnew to get some fresh air and have some well deserved fun! And the staff enjoyed a coffee!

Our Annual Anti-Bullying Policy was reviewed at our most recent Board of Management Meeting on Tuesday 7th February 2023. Our Anti-Bullying Policy can be found on our website and available from our school office.

All are welcome to attend our Open Day Monday 23rd January from 3 – 4pm.

This year we continue to work on our Greenschool Flag: Global Citizenship: Marine Environment. We wrote some Greenschool Codes in groups and we then voted on the one we loved best. Well done to all the children on writing great codes for our school and learning all about the importance of our oceans.

All Saints’ National School will commence accepting applications for Junior Infants 2023/2024 from Monday 16th January to Monday 6th February. Please refer to the Admissions section of our website for further details.

Athbhliain Faoi Mhaise Daoibh!

A very special visitor came to the boys and girls of All Saints’ National School last Friday! We got such a surprise! He game during our Christmas party games and joined in with us singing Christmas Songs. All the boys and girls are on the good list and got some presents from Santa too. Thank you so much to Santa. We all had a fantastic time and we can’t wait for Christmas!

We wish to thank everyone involved in our recent fundraising events. We are delighted to announce a total of €1090 was raised following our recent Stick Raffle and our Christmas Craft Fair raised €1047. All proceeds will go towards our school. We are very grateful for your generosity and support. It was wonderful to welcome so many visitors to our recent Christmas Fair. We thoroughly enjoyed the events. A special thanks to our staff and pupils for their wonderful work. 🙂
