Senior Room School Tour
The children in the senior room had great fun at The Stables in Gorey on their school trip. Many fears were faced! Well done everyone.

The Junior Room painted mini hurls to help them learn how to hold a hurl and where to it the ball. Thank you to Conor Daly (GPO) for teaching the children of All Saints’ GAA. They have really enjoyed learning GAA skills.
The children throughly enjoyed learning all about the Earth and the importance of caring for it. They also planted lots of fruit and vegetables, made beautiful flower crowns, and had lots of lovely outside time reading and having picnics 🌼
The children learned loads for earth day and had great fun making crowns from all things natural. We planted fruit and vegetables in our garden and some wildflowers for the busy bees.
The children have been learning lots of ways to manage the many different feelings that children feel and finding ways to make their heads happy.
1st and 2nd class practice Gratitude in their copies every morning. Junior infants write in their Happy Head copies every morning 🌈⭐️
Yoga is a firm favourite and the class is full of budding yogis 🧘♀️
The children listen to Mindfulness music and use breathing practices to help when they are feeling lots of hard feelings ⭐️
In March, the children became experts in Animal Care, they performed surgeries, administered vaccines and took care of lots of poorly animals in Role Play and Small World. They built roads, bridges and buildings for easy access to the surgery in emergencies in Construction. In play dough, they created bandages, made medicines and worked on their Literacy and their Numeracy skills. The future animals are in great hands 👩🏼⚕️👨🏼⚕️⭐️
The children are having a great time in Aistear this month, they are protecting our classroom as Gardaí in Small World, Role Play, Construction and Art. They have been working on their Literacy and Numeracy skills, ensuring people are keeping to their 5km and writing reports and wanted posters. We certainly feel safe with these future Gardaí 👮🏻♀️👮🏻♂️⭐️
The children are working very hard towards their 7th Green School Fag: Global Citizenship Energy. They had great fun designing a new way to save energy using Lego. The children had some amazing ideas.
We hope you enjoy reading their poems on the theme of Energy.
Our Green School Motto is : Turn it off! Switch it off! Plug it out! REPEAT!
It is great to have our older classes back to school. They are loving their new Lego boxes for creating, designing and movie making.
